It rained for most of the night, including the morning after so everything was wet: my tent, my laundry, everything. Instead of going to see the big vulcanos, I opted to save some time (spent drying my stuff) with a hike nearby.
Funny enough I got lost, twice, and what was supposed to be a 3 Km walk became almost 7 a Km one 😂 My shoes were dripping wet, so I tightes them to the back of my bike: et voilá! The fastest and quickest shoe drying system ever. Ever seen a pair of Asics speeding on the road?
The day was going to be a transition one, to get closee to my next point of interest. While driving away from the camping, several signed reminded that starting from July 9th those roads were going to be the scene of the “Tour de France”. So very nice roads 😊 One hour later the shoes were already dry but I left them there hanging, cause I liked the color contrast on the bike 🥳 As it was already 3pm it was time for a Leffe Blonde.
On the way a small and lovely castle reminded me where I was heading. About 35 years ago, I spent 3 weeks with my dad, mum and sister visiting with a motorhome the Loire castels and Le Mont-Saint-Michel. I wanted to recall those memories by following our footsteps.
This is to say, that in the next two posts. you are going to see a lot of photos of castles in every shape and form. The landscape got flat and windy. Some roads were newly paved but still bumpy 😆
For the night I stayed at the camping Huttopia Les Châteaux in Bracieux. The weather app was claiming clear skies but judging from the wind and the dark cloud, it was going to rain again that night.
