All motorbike dealships in France are open from Tuesday to Saturday and are closed Sunday and Monday. A lesson I learned the hard way. It makes sense but my timing was not the best. I decided to spend the day visiting the nearby city Besançon. Once again the invisibility cloak worked his magic and I left Lollo with all the luggage for almost 5h untouched.
Besançon it’s a nice town on the “Via Francigena”, an old pilgrimage route from Canterbury to Rome. Thats the same route, I crossed a bunch of times in my other tour through Italy two years ago.

I enjoyed my time in Besançon but I was still worried about the tires and their availability the next day. Even with a slick tire, I preferred to drive outside of the city to find a quite camping: Verte Rive in Cromary.

A Leffe Blonde with some real Dutsch fries!
The camping owners are dDutch and this was not the first time, that I found Dutch people owning campings in France. Overall a nice and quite stay near a river. I can recommend it!
