In the morning I took another walk through the old town of Skopje. Wonderful scenes!
As another hot day approached, I headed to a renowned and fabulous Canyon about 15 Kms / 10 miles from the city: Matka.
Once I got there, the road grew smaller and smaller. A guy selling fruit at the last parking spot told me to keep driving. This is the kind of path I was driving on:
I parked and changed clothes to proceed on foot. This is what I saw:
I took a boat in the Canyon and enjoyed the fresh ride.
We had a stop at a cave
The captain asked me if I was Italian and began to speak in fluent Italian. He had worked in Rimini for 8 years and we had an interesting conversation.
A nice refreshing trip in a place I was curious to visit. It’s fascinating that it’s just 13 Kms away from Skopje.
The afternoon was dedicated to ride to Ohrid with its beautiful lake.
In the late afternoon I found the Camping Lake, enjoyed a beer and went for a swim!
