Saturday July the 24th
Total distance driven: 3.201 Km
Today’s distance: 364 Km in 5:54h
Walked distance: 9,7 Km

Breakfast, tent, packed. I had to go back and watch again the king‘s statue, as it was only 8 km away from the camping.

My memory sometimes is not the best. When I have moments I want to remember, I take my time and make a mental picture. To enhance it, I listen to some music and notice the smells to connect the memories and never forget. The song that has been following me during this travel is: Higher Power from Coldplay. I spent about five minutes watching the statue while listening to this song and smelling the Danube.

A last glance and off I went to the next destination: Corvin Castle.

Along the way nice views and even cows in the river 😂👍

Mou!
Somewhere along the way

Around 4 pm I arrived in the small town of Hunedoara, where are you would never expect to see this castle.

Corvin Castle

From the look some people think this could be Dracula‘s castle.

No matter which angle you look at it, this is a fantastic castle. Gotta live the very long wood bridge and the very tall pointy towers.

Lollo was also starring at it

While walking in front of the castle I saw an old style pot with cooking Gulasch. Food is also a great way to connect memories!

Half a kilo for 4€ including bread

The next masterpiece in Romania was close but not quite enough for today. It was already late and I try to camp before dark. I drove another 2.5 hours.

Some offroad. It looks a lot like Arizona.
A typical church at sunset
More offroad to reach the campsite
Finally there at Ananas Camping near Sibiu.

The whole camping is on a slope and I dropped the motorcycle on the grass, as it was really heavy. I had the time to decide how to do it, so it was a soft landing and the soft bags did their job. No damage, just a lesson learned.

In the evening I went to buy some water and fruit and was reminded, that I’m in Transylvania.
