Today I wanted to visit Bojnice‘s castle and depending on how tired I was going to feel, either stayed there overnight or reach the far north-east corner of Slovakia, home of the the Slovak Paradise Natural Park.

Arrived in Bojnice, I had to leverage my PacSafe to lock my Motorcycle Gear and change clothes. The PacSafe is simple but effective and also helped me to lock my helmet to the bike.

Time to visit the castle. A popular filming stage for historical and fairy-tale movies, the 12th-century Bojnice Castle started life as a fortress, and over the centuries became a stunning Romanesque royal residence with Gothic and Renaissance touches.

This is a very tourist attraction and reason. I bought a ticket and went inside.

Of all the details of the Bojnice Castle, this inscription in the wood cealing is the one which sticked the most with me: Omnia cum Tempore.
Some translations propose „Everything has its time“ but this could be confused with everything has a limited time 😉 Actually means more something like „Everything at its time“. Don‘t rush, the time for it will come.

The road so far had been quite boring, mostly straight and I drove for 3 hours but I was still in the mood of driving. Besides, Bojnice doesn’t have much more to offer than the castle.
Slovak Paradise, the next stop, was another 3:30 hours drive. Luckily the road changed dramatically to my enjoyment : uphills, downhills, chicanes 😁 I lost the count of how many other centaurs I greeted on the way.

Also this time I managed to escape the rain. In this case I was faster than it as that night the dark clouds approached.
With 377Km in a day I crossed Slovakia from West to East, from South to North. Bratislava was very nice but here the nature was awaiting me.
