I consider myself lucky because I‘ve several second homes. Beside Rome and Kammerstein in Germany, I spent some years in Dublin, Bruxelles and Kelheim + Regensburg.
In all of them I made new friends and in Dublin I even found my love 😍
With Regensburg being on my path to Czech Republic, I had to visit my good friends Jürgen and Lena.
Before reaching Regensburg, I enjoyed some very nice curves on an uphill and made a short stop in Hemau. When I first moved from Italy to Kelheim in Germany, our apartment’s street was the „Hemauer Straße“ and I had never been there 😅

Once in Regensburg, Jürgen and I had a coffee and a chat. Before leaving I took a picture in front of the St. Peter Dome and then headed to Czech Republic.

While approaching the border via road, I wasn’t sure what to expect in regards to COVID checkpoints. To my surprise I didn’t find any controls, which left me wonder about the difference if you fly.
Just across the border there is my favourite casino. For sure not one of the most expensive or luxurious ones but with a great western atmosphere. In the few nights I spent there, I enjoyed playing roulette, black jack and poker tournaments and the balance is more than positive.
Last time I went with my cousin Michele and we had lost some Euros. The day after, we were packing things in our room and he went for a smoke. He reappeared with a big smile and a ticket he got from a slot machine 🎰 while playing one last time: over 700€. That paid for his vacation and left a nice plus 😁

Bohemian roads are quite fun to ride! Around 6pm the small city of Pilsen was in front of me. I was happy and looking forward to set camp at the Autocamp Ostende.

Time to test my camping gear, cook a meal and enjoy it near the lake.

What a first day. Accomplished I went to bed. The next day I planned to visit Pilsen.
